Blasting works to begin – noise and vibration in the area

07.11.2025 hrs 12:03

Preparatory drilling for the blasting works will begin in week 46, and the actual blasting works will start in week 47. The work will cause noise and vibration in the surrounding area. During the blasting phase, typically 2–3 blasts are carried out per day.

The blasting works are expected to last approximately one and a half months.

The exact schedule will be published on the project website as soon as the details are confirmed.

Safety information during blasting

A warning signal is sounded before each blast (usually several short signals). It indicates that the area has been checked and that workers are leaving the blasting zone. For safety reasons, we recommend staying away from open windows and balconies during blasting. Vibrations may feel stronger near windows. Blasts are short and closely monitored by qualified professionals.

  • Vibrations are continuously monitored and recorded
  • It is ensured that the permitted vibration levels are not exceeded
  • Blast mats are used to cover the work area
