Work at the construction site of the Kaskia Wellbeing Block is progressing as planned. Below is information about current and upcoming work phases that may cause noise or other disturbances in the surrounding area.
Groundworks in progress
- Construction traffic may occasionally cause disruptions on Itäinen Pitkäkatu (East Long Street)
- Excavators are operating on weekdays from 7:00 to 18:00
Drilled piling work continues
- The work causes noise on weekdays from 8:00 to 18:00
Rock blasting work
- Expected to start in November
- Separate notification will be given before the work begins
Indoor demolition work continues
- Old concrete slabs are being demolished using a demolition robot, and debris is loaded with wheel loaders
- Work phases that do not cause noise may also be carried out in the evenings (on weekdays until 22:00) and on Saturdays (8:00–18:00)
- Noise from indoor demolition is reduced, for example, by keeping the building envelope as closed as possible
